The Fornite: The Device live event sees Midas’ plans finally come to fruition, and gives us a look into what the Doomsday Device is actually capable of. Although it was already rumored that the map would flood, leaving the majority of Fortnite underwater, the impact of the tsunami is still pretty shocking. After The Device prevents its encroaching wrath, ensuring that landlubbers are still able to traverse Fortnite’s map, the water still lingers in a perfect circle around its circumference - in fact, it appears the tsunami being held at bay has properly replaced the storm. You can check out footage of the event from gattu in the video embedded below. Also, it’s worth mentioning that we got a decent look at Jonesy in a suit, talking about storms and things being unstable… you get the gist. Check him out below.
The event aired earlier today and will not be repeated. If you missed the event in-game, you can catch yourself up by referring back to the video from gattu embedded above. You’ll be able to get a good luck at the new water storm, as well as all of the lovely marine creatures knocking about beneath the waves. In the meantime, there are lots of challenges to be getting on with prior to the start of Season 3 on Wednesday, including the Storm the Agency challenges.
