Once the online event is rescheduled, there will be 18 online regional tournaments, which kick off with a tournament in the NA East region. Winners from each of the online tournaments will auto qualify for Capcom Cup 2020. In addition, the Capcom Cup 2019 Champion (iDom) will be offered a slot at the cup, and the final slot will be awarded to one of the 31 finalists from Capcom Cup 2019 through a community vote. This will bring the total to 20 players who will compete to become the winner. Capcom Cup 2020 will also move from Paris to the US and will now take place in the first quarter of 2021.
